can you help me find some good organizations that my school can participate in?
I'm in a Catholic club in my school, and our goal is to help other people and causes. We've raised money for Darfur by selling wristbands and having bake sales, and we did a book collection to send books to a poor school in Brazil. What are some other things we can do and school events we can hold to raise money? Thanks.
Wow - congratulations on some awesome work! It's wonderful that you are reaching out to people around the world, and learning about their needs at the same time.
A great site is http://www.dosomething.org On the pull-down menu, look at Global Extreme Poverty as well as Millennium Development Goals. They have lots of resources, ideas of what other youth are doing around the world, and organizations you can work with.
Also, through http://www.freethechildren.org you can start a youth action group and even build a school in a developing country. We built a school in India through them and it only cost about $5000.
when you get a hmv wristband for an event do they put it on for you?
Im at school for the day and my mum is getting me the wriste bands for a dvd signing, i was wondering if my mum could just pick the band up and give it to me and ill be able to go or will they not allow that?

they would probably have to put it on for you so you can't sell it or something etc. You'll have to get out of school somehow
